A fire pit or a fireplace adds a level of comfort, ambiance, and sophistication to your yard and is a great way of utilizing otherwise bland space.

There are a lot of different types of fire pits available, so it’s best to do your research in order to determine which one best fits your space and your individual desires. Here are the four different types of fire pits and fireplaces that we install.

Wood Burning

Getting a wood burning fire pit installed in your yard is the closest that you can come to having an actual campfire. They provide warmth, the satisfying crackle of burning wood, and real smoke. Within the broader category of wood burning fire pits are different subtypes:

Brick or Stone Fire Pit: The most cost-effective fire pit, brick or stone fire pits are built by using cinder blocks.
Wood Burning Grill: A wood burning fire pit can also double as a grill used for cooking and grilling.
Outdoor Fireplace: Similar to an indoor fireplace, a wood burning outdoor fireplace is usually placed on an outdoor patio.

Propane

If you’re looking for a way to add convenience and beauty to your backyard, consider a propane fire pit. They allow for a large, nice-looking flame without needing to worry about refilling wood or gel. Propane fire pits also allow for plenty of customization, as they can be designed with rock pebbles, faux wood, or glass. You’ll find different types of propane fire pits, such as copper bowl fire pits and portable propane fire pits.

Natural Gas

If you can install a natural gas line in your backyard, consider installing a natural gas fire pit. Like a propane fire pit, a natural gas fire pit is an attractive permanent fixture in your backyard. However, unlike propane fire pits, natural gas fire pits never run out of fuel. Natural gas fire pits can have either a sunken design or a tabletop design.
